Less buying. More sharing.
How borrowing and lending works
The thing you need may already belong to someone you know. Could I Borrow helps you organize that exchange, from choosing what to share to keeping track of the return.
Start with people you trust
A circle brings together friends, family, neighbors, or another group you already know. Create a circle and invite people, or join one through its invitation process. Joining a circle does not make your entire inventory visible to it.
Start small. A group with a few people who are willing to lend useful things is more helpful than a long list of inactive members.
Keep an inventory and choose what to share
Add an item with a clear name, a useful photo, its condition, and any parts that need to travel with it. Choose which circles can see it. You can keep items in your personal inventory without sharing them.
Only offer things you are comfortable lending. If something needs repair or special instruction, make that clear before agreeing to a loan.
Agree on the details before pickup
A borrowing request starts a conversation about dates and availability; it is not a guarantee that an item is ready. Wait for agreement before making plans. Confirm the pickup arrangements, return date, and included accessories.
When the item comes back, check its condition and parts together and complete the return in the app. Keeping the record up to date helps everyone know what is available.
